LumiComp Oy online store customer register.
Purpose of processing personal data:
Personal data is processed to maintain and manage customer relationships in our online store, including order delivery, processing and archiving, customer-related communications and direct marketing, as well as for statistical purposes. Customers have the right to prohibit the use of their personal data for direct marketing.
Data contained in the register:
The register may contain the following information: the customer's first and last name, customer number, address, telephone number, gender, email address, website address, language, marketing permissions and prohibitions, purchase transactions, deliveries, discounts and any user credentials. It may also contain the email address and authentication information used for Google or Facebook login, information observed from the use of services and derived through analytics, browsing and usage data from the online store, device identifiers, and data and identifiers used for product recommendations and other targeted content.
Regular sources of information:
Information is primarily collected from customers themselves through online store orders, return and other forms, by telephone, email or similar means. We may also obtain additional information from our partners, such as credit service providers, and from Finnish business registers such as ytj.fi.
Regular disclosures of data:
Data is used only for managing customer relationships and is not regularly disclosed to third parties. However, data may be disclosed where necessary for the technical management of the online store (for example server or ecommerce-platform administration), delivery of orders, collection of unpaid invoices, and to authorities where required and permitted by law.
Customer information is accessible only to LumiComp Oy employees whose duties require access, and our staff is trained to handle the information securely and ethically.
Transfer of data outside the EU or European Economic Area
Data is not transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area.
Retention and disposal of data
Customer register data is retained for the duration of the customer relationship. Order, invoicing and payment information is retained in accordance with the requirements applicable to accounting records. Data that is no longer required is securely destroyed.
Use of cookies
We may use cookies to monitor visitor traffic and improve the quality of the service. Cookies are stored on the user's device. Their validity period is limited and they do not harm the user's device.
Principles of protecting the register
The customer register is processed confidentially and is appropriately protected against unauthorised access using firewalls and other technical safeguards. The technical and process security of the ecommerce systems is maintained at a high level. Servers are protected against intrusion and denial-of-service attacks. The register is stored only electronically, and any occasional paper printouts are destroyed promptly and appropriately.
The register is used only by persons whose job duties require it. Each user has an individual username and password.
Right of access
Everyone has the right, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, to check what personal data concerning them has been stored in the register. A request for access must be submitted in a signed or otherwise reliably verified document, or presented in person at our office. Requests should be sent to the contact person named above, who also responds to requests for additional information.
Updating data
Customers can update their name and address details in their online store profile. Customers may also contact the person named above to request an update to their information.
Other rights related to the processing of personal data
Customers have the right to object to the processing of their data for marketing purposes. Requests to restrict processing should be submitted by email to the contact person for the register.
Customers can decide whether to receive targeted marketing, value-added services and different types of marketing communications.
Google Analytics tracking
LumiComp's website uses Google Analytics visitor tracking. Google Analytics is widely used on websites. It allows us to analyse visitor numbers anonymously and statistically using information such as:
- User IP address and browser type
- The sequence and duration of the user's actions and session on our website
- The web address and server from which the user arrived
- The domain through which the user arrived at the website
